$2.5M boost for NSW Mental Health Hubs
PEOPLE experiencing suicidal distress will benefit from an additional $2.5M investment in NSW Mental Health Hubs. The funding will help 24 centres, including Penrith and North Ryde, expand staffing, operating hours and facilities. Previously known as Safe Havens, the centres will adopt their new name in early 2027 to improve public awareness. The hubs provide free, non-clinical support from trained peer workers with lived experience. The services receive $40M annually in government funding.
