THE NSW Government ADHD reforms are saving NSW families about $10M annually by allowing GPs to prescribe repeat medication, avoiding costly specialist visits. Around 10,000 people benefit from reduced fees and wait times, while easing pressure on specialists. Over 1,100 GPs are now authorised, many in regional areas, the reforms allowing more training to diagnose and treat ADHD.
