PCYC NSW plans to refresh several Club Committees, including PCYC Parramatta. The committee plays a vital role in building positive relationships between clubs, local communities, and Youth Command Police Officers, helping PCYC fulfil their mission to empower youth and engage the community.

PCYC NSW is one of Australia’s leading youth charities, dedicated to empowering young people to reach their potential and make positive contributions to society.

Their mission is to reduce and prevent youth crime by against young people. They do this by engaging young people in activities that foster their development, wellbeing, resilience, and community connection.

Guided by a vision to build safer, stronger communities, they work collaboratively with police and community partners to deliver impactful programs and services across their extensive NSW club network.

PCYC is shaped by locals to be life changing, for all.

“We want to work with our new committee to find a permanent home for PCYC Parramatta. With recent changes to our club location, we are now on the hunt for somewhere new to call home. Last year we were able to open a temporary Youth Hub in Westfield Parramatta,” a Parramatta PCYC spokesperson said.

“The 2024 Youth Hub was a dynamic space delivering core mission programs like Fit for Life, Fit for Work, and U-Nites to support and empower local youth. This space was handed back to Westfield at the end of January, so we are looking for a permanent solution for the rising generation of Parramatta and the broader community that can offer the array of sport, recreation and programs for young people, that we offer in our other Clubs across NSW.

PCYC NSW remains a trusted partner in supporting the youth and families of NSW.

The club committee works closely with the local club manager and police to develop strategies that address the needs of local youth, recruit new members and volunteers, and promote PCYC across Parramatta. Members also build partnership networks, advocate for youth and the broader community and support local fundraising initiatives to achieve PCYC’s mission and vision.
