Flamenco tradition comes alive at Riverside
AFTER years of sold-out performances in Sydney acclaimed ensemble Bandaluzia Flamenco performs at Riverside Theatre Parramatta on August 23 at 7pm with an exhilarating display of original contemporary flamenco music and dance.
The performance is replete with a unique range of creative influences, from the great canon of the flamenco tradition, to inspiration from Debussy, Miles Davis, Radiohead and Contemporary dance.
Bandaluzia subtly intertwines this inspiration into the flamenco language and story. Flamenco is a form of expression that explores the full spectrum of human experience, from the darker sides to the most joyous and translates this into something cathartic and beautiful.
Bandaluzia are celebrated for their powerful performances, unique sound and explosive displays of dazzling musicianship and virtuosity.
Bandaluzia performed twice at WOMADelaide 2023 to rave reviews and performed to a sold out Sydney Opera House Concert Hall as an invited artist to TEDX Sydney.
